Former president and 2024 hopeful Republican nominee Donald Trump posted an urgent warning on social media that current President Joe Biden is dragging the planet to the brink of World War III and “oblivion.”
Trump posted on Truth Social, his personal social media network, “World War III is looming, like never before, in the very dark and murky background. ‘Leadership’ is solely responsible for this unprecedented danger to the USA, and likewise, the World. HOPELESS JOE BIDEN IS LEADING US INTO OBLIVION!!!”
Trump has not stated specifically what he believes President Biden is doing that could lead to another world war, but he routinely alludes to “globalism” and “warmongers” as serious threats to the United States.
Trump slammed Biden as “weak and incompetent” at a campaign event last month. He promised to “bring back peace through strength” if re-elected president.
Democrats, he added, are “trying to indoctrinate and mutilate our children.”
In response to Biden’s State of the Union address, Trump declared in a recorded video in early February, ” the real state of the union.” Among other things, he accused Biden of pushing the globe to the verge of nuclear war.
According to the Washington Post and other media outlets that have investigated Trump’s foreign policy successes throughout his single term, his track record on “global peace” is not all that it is “trumped up” to be.
