Hazing Incident Lands Georgia Teen in Hospital ICU

A Georgia teenager ended up in the Intensive Care Unit last week after several other teens forced him to drink dangerous amounts of alcohol and ingest magic mushrooms during a horrific bullying incident.

The victim, Trenton ‘Trent’ Lehrkamp, 19, is now in stable condition but remains in the ICU after getting bullied at a house party held at a home in Saint Simon’s Island, Georgia, over spring break, on Tuesday, March 21.

A video of Lehrkamp seated in a chair with someone hosing him down was posted on a Glynn County community Facebook account, but police said that was of a previous bullying incident involving the teenager.

The video shows several other bystanders who did nothing to stop the hazing and another who appears to be celebrating the disgraceful incident.

Police are investigating whether a photo of the same teen circulating on Facebook was taken from last week’s incident, which put Lehrkamp in the ICU.

The horrifying photo shows the seemingly unconscious victim sitting on a chair while several other teenage males stand behind him.

The Facebook account where the photo was posted alleged that the young men standing behind the victim had bound the unresponsive teen to the chair and spray painted him, urinated on him and defecated on his lap.

The Glynn County Police Department is yet to release the details of the alleged incident but said that the victim was dropped off at the hospital in an unresponsive state by a group of three other teens, who left the hospital before the police arrived at around 10:40 pm.

According to a press release by the department, the victim had no obvious signs of injury, but they found the presence of spray paint on him and, in a later report, stated that his clothes were all wet with urine.

The police said doctors treated the victim for high intoxication levels due to a mixture of alcohol and other controlled substances and put him on a ventilator.

Evidence has been collected from the home where the alleged incident took place and interviews have been conducted but the investigation is still ongoing. According to the Glynn Country Police Department, they were able to interview the victim in the hospital on March 26 to hear his account of what transpired that evening.

An account set up to help support the victim alleges that a group of people the victim thought were his friends turned out to be abusive perpetrators who tortured him for hours. It also claimed that the victim was on the brink of death when he was dropped off at the hospital.
