Just like any other married man having an affair, former President Donald Trump was afraid of his wife, Melania, finding out about his affair with former porn star Stormy Daniels, which is one of the reasons he ordered the payment to keep her quiet.
When the news of the alleged affair and the subsequent $130,000 hush payment broke out in 2018, Melania was furious and wanted to leave Trump, which is exactly what Trump was afraid of when he arranged the payment.
A source said that Trump was beside himself that his wife would find out about his affair, and with a porn star, no less. He knew some of the likely consequences of the affair and was adamant about keeping a tight lid on it.
Seventy-six-year-old Trump now claims that he will be arrested after a New York grand jury finishes hearing the case about his payments to Daniels.
Trump maintains that he did nothing wrong and vehemently denies ever having an affair with Daniels.
He denies it but was afraid his wife would find out about it. (?)
Daniels said the affair happened in 2006 in a hotel room at a Lake Tahoe casino following a charity golf tournament.
In 2018, when news of the relationship broke, Melania was so furious that she reportedly moved out of the White House and stayed in a hotel for days. She then left Washington DC for Palm Beach, Florida. The relationship between the couple was severely undermined, with the former first lady opting to stay away from her husband.
Melania had given birth to their son, Barron, just four months before the alleged affair.
A source told the press in 2018 that Melania would spend a lot of time away from the White House and would rarely enter Trump’s West Wing office, quite unlike other first ladies.
People also started noticing that, whenever the couple was spotted out at events together, Melania seemed distant, almost robotic, and did not want to get close to the former president. The two barely held hands during Trump’s tenure.
Daniels described her sexual encounter with Trump as the worst 90 seconds in her life. She and Trump are always throwing jabs at each other and calling each other belittling names.
