Two men reigned terror on people at a Brazilian pool hall, opening fire and killing seven people, who allegedly laughed at them for losing in a game of pool for a second time.
A 12-year-old girl is among the victims.
The terrifying incident was caught on camera at a pool hall in Sinop in Mato Grosso, Brazil. The shooters lost two consecutive games on Tuesday, February 21, and mentally lost it when the onlookers laughed at their loss.
Chilling surveillance footage shows one of the gunmen lining up the victims against a wall while his companion went outside to get a shotgun from a parked vehicle.
Local police are still searching for the men, who they identified as Ezequias Souza Ribeiro, 27, and Edgar Ricardo de Oliveira, 30.
Oliveira initially lost a pool game and some money against one of his victims. He then went out to get more money, returned to the pool hall with Ribeiro, and challenged the man he lost to a second chance.
He lost a second time, which triggered laughs from onlookers. Oliveira was enraged and went out to his pickup truck and returned to the hall with a shotgun.
The surveillance footage shows the deranged man beginning his terrifying assault. He shoots a man in a white t-shirt first and then massacres the rest of his victims at point-blank range. Ribeiro also joins in the slaughter with a handgun.
As the two shoot their victims dead, other people scramble to save themselves and run into the street.
Once done with their rampage, the men boldly grab some cash left on the pool tables and walk out.
Responding officers pronounced six of the victims dead at the scene. A man initially survived the attack and was rushed to the hospital, but he died shortly after.
The victims’ ages range from 12 years to 48.
Lieutenant Romening dos Santos Silva said some of the victims might not have been involved in the game and were innocent bystanders.
