During an argument on Valentine’s Day with a stranger, a mom from South Carolina was shot and murdered in a supermarket parking lot.

Tyler Borys said that his wife, 26-year-old Alexandria Cress Borys, was arguing with a stranger while carrying groceries into her car at the Kroger in Irmo, South Carolina, according to FOX 57 Columbia.

The stranger, identified as 23-year-old Christina Harrison, grabbed a gun and shot Alexandria in the back. Tyler said she was shot to death while their two-year-old and newborn were in the car.

Alexandria was pronounced dead immediately after police arrived at the scene at 4 pm on February 14, according to the Irmo Police Department.

After fleeing the crime scene, Christina Harrison called the police to report her whereabouts about 90 minutes later. After interviewing witnesses, Investigators concluded that Harrison and Borys had a disagreement, although it is unclear precisely what the conflict was about.

Witnesses informed local Police Chief Bobby Dale that Borys and suspected shooter Harrison engaged in a heated disagreement “about who had the right of way” in the parking lot. The victim allegedly spit at the shooter.

Chief Dale posted on Facebook that this was a circumstance where tempers rose, and someone allowed rage to get the best of them. One reckless choice has damaged the lives of two families and numerous others who watched this horrible occurrence. He added that the only word that comes to him that describes what occurred that day is senseless.

On Tuesday night, Harrison was checked into the Lexington County Correctional Facility. According to inmate records, Harrison is accused of murder, carrying a gun without a license, and possessing a weapon while committing a violent felony.

Alexandria was a cosmetologist who was enrolled in nursing school.

To add fuel to the fire, Borys’ shooting and death occurred just six days after her brother died from a gunshot wound.
