A woman in Georgia got some anger off her chest when she couldn’t get the order she wanted at Popeyes. It didn’t end well.
Police reported that a Georgia woman struck a Popeyes at Walton Way with her automobile after realizing that her order had been lacking biscuits.
According to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office incident report acquired by WJBF-TV, Belinda Miller, 50, of Augusta, Georgia, grew furious about the missing food items and remained dissatisfied even after staff members corrected her order on February 18.
After first leaving the restaurant and then coming back, Miller plowed her car into a restaurant door, coming dangerously close to running over an 18-year-old employee, who was in the restaurant. According to an arrest warrant, the woman managed to drive her automobile four more feet into the building before halting when construction rubble prevented her from going any further. She then hastily left the scene of the incident.
A little after 7:45 p.m., police were contacted in connection with an accident and possible injuries. They later discovered the front-end-damaged SUV parked at Miller’s house. She was detained four days later and taken to the Charles B. Webster Correctional Center, where she was charged with first-degree aggravated assault and criminal property damage.
Popeyes’ manager Jackie Blount said in the incident report that Miller had intimidated employees and contacted the restaurant to threaten to ram her car into the building even before the incident. She reportedly warned someone in line to grab their meal quickly because the irate woman was coming back.
Miller has slammed into buildings with the same car before. She stated that she crashed her car into the side of an apartment complex twice in May 2020 because she was drunk and agitated.
