Actor Kevin Bacon’s fans are commending his daughter, Sosie Bacon, 30, star of the movie “Smile,” for her performance in the actor’s Super Bowl commercial.
The father-daughter duo came together ahead of this year’s Super Bowl to star in an advertisement for the car company Hyundai. The “Footloose” actor and his daughter star in a minute-long ad, which starts with Bacon picking Sosie up in the company’s new electric sedan, IONIQ 6.
Like most kids, Sosie was giving her father a hard time as he drove her around throughout the day.
In the ad, Sosie takes a jab at her dad’s electro-savviness, saying that her dad had now gone EV, referencing the car brand’s all-electric vehicle line. She makes fun of her Golden Globe-winning dad, questioning how a man who had been forever locked out of his email accounts was suddenly going EV.
The minute-long ad shows the two going on adventures with activities, including charging the car and going to a local cafe to pick up a couple of coffees.
Sosie eventually gets tired of her dad, who can’t stop talking about the amazing features of the IONIQ 6, as she subtly points out.
The commercial’s star, Kevin Bacon, did well in the ad, but fans couldn’t help but point out how much his daughter outshined him with her amazing acting skills.
The ad was uploaded to YouTube, and one person commented that Sosie stole the show with her charm and beauty, adding that the ad might be his new favorite commercial.
Another fan wrote on Sosie’s Instagram that she loved the advertisement and that Sosie’s facial expressions were great, adding that her father looked like a fun but embarrassing dad type.
