King Charles Misses Prince Harry

A royal source claims that King Charles III is not only willing but eager to reconcile with his younger son, Prince Harry, despite Harry’s recent claims to the contrary.

According to The Telegraph, sources close to King Charles insist that he has always said how much he loves both his sons and has kept all communication channels open in the last few years, despite Harry and Meghan’s numerous interviews criticizing the royal family.

Sources told the media outlet that Prince Harry, 38, and his 72-year-old father, King Charles, have remained in contact and met several times in 2022 during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Even though the relationship between the father and son had been tense on occasion, the King has always said that the door is always open and that Prince Harry and Meghan are always welcome.

Despite their strained relationship, the King is still planning to invite Harry and Meghan to his coronation later this year.

Speaking to journalist Tom Bradby ahead of his memoir “Spare,” which will be released on Tuesday, January 10, Prince Harry said that he would love to have his father and brother back in his life, but they have shown no willingness to reconcile. During the ITV interview, set to be released on Sunday, Harry said he wanted a family, not an institution.

Clips of the interview were released on Monday, and the Prince said they feel it is better to keep him and Meghan as the villains. It is unclear who “they” refers to.

Prince Harry has been doing a lot of talking, and in another interview, also airing on Sunday, he sat down with Anderson Cooper for the TV show “60 Minutes.” In the released promo clips, Harry tells Cooper that every time he has tried to reconcile with the family in private, there have been leaks, briefings, and planting of stories that negatively portray him and his wife.

He revealed that the royal family motto is “Never complain, never explain,” but despite the motto, according to Harry, Buckingham Palace has released statements to protect other family members despite their refusal to do the same for him and his wife. At some point, their silence became a betrayal, in Harry’s eyes.

Since Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, they have revealed the royal family’s “dirty laundry,” starting with the Oprah Winfrey Interview in 2021.

Harry has been speaking about his strained relationship with his father and brother since leaving the UK.

In December 2022, Netflix released a much-anticipated documentary about the couple, which detailed their love story and the experiences that led to their decision to leave the UK for the US.

In the documentary, Harry and Meghan talked about how brutal the UK tabloids were towards Meghan, targeting her any chance they got. Harry accused Prince William’s press team of planting and leaking stories to the press about him and Meghan to cover up for William. He also spoke about how they felt betrayed when Buckingham Palace refused to put out statements protecting Meghan, but put a statement out to protect William almost immediately after a negative story about him emerged.

Will Harry and the King reconcile? Tune in to the next scheduled interviews to find out.
