Ivana Trump’s Will Left Nothing to Ex Donald – But Ex-Nanny Got Condo and Dog

Former President Trump’s ex-wife, Ivana Trump, who died in July last year, left behind a $34 million estate and a will on how her properties would be distributed.

Her will carefully itemized all her valuables and specified that most of her properties should go to her three children, Ivanka Trump, Donald Jr., and Eric Trump. She left two of her properties to dear friends and wanted to leave one to her deceased ex-husband, Rossano Rubicondi, who died in 2021.

Former President Donald Trump, Ivana’s more prominent and wealthier husband, received nothing in her will. Not even the dog.

According to probate records, Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump received most of her property, including jewelry and funds from selling her furs. The rest of her clothes were donated to charities, including the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross.

Ivana’s New York townhouse is the most prominent asset in her estate. The house, only half a block from Central Park, was put on the market for $26.5 million. Although it is unclear whether it will sell for that much, the proceeds will be split evenly among her children.

Dorothy Curry, Ivana’s lifelong friend, and ex-nanny might be the biggest beneficiary of her properties outside her kids. The socialite left Curry her Florida condo, estimated to be worth over $1 million. Ivana also left her beloved Yorkshire terrier named Tiger Trump to her friend Curry.

Curry started working for the Trumps as a nanny and even taught Ivana’s kids how to pray, according to Ivana’s 2017 book, “Raising Trump.” Curry later became Ivana’s assistant and her close friend for decades.

She spoke at Ivana’s funeral last year and alluded that Ivana felt isolated during her final days.

Even though Ivana and Donald Trump divorced decades ago, she was buried on one of his golf club properties, in Bedminster.

Ivana was married twice before she died. Rossano Rubicondi, her most recent ex-husband, died in 2021, but in her will, written in 2019, she planned to leave him one of her properties in St. Tropez, France. She left another property in St. Tropez to a friend of hers.

Ivana and Rubicondi had an on-and-off relationship, with the pair getting married in 2008 before divorcing in 2009 and then reconciling shortly after their divorce.

The Trumps have to file a federal tax return on Ivana’s estate. The maximum amount of assets that can be passed down tax-free is $12 million. The government takes up to 40% of everything over that amount. With Ivana’s estate estimated to be worth around $34 million, the taxes could be over $8.7 million.

Ivana directed in her will that the assets cover the taxes.
