An incident on a United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on a Sunday morning in November caused the Chicago police to respond.
Three travelers on the arriving plane had to be transported to a hospital for medical care, according to the police.
United Airlines said in a statement that a “disruptive customer” was removed by the police after the flight landed, and that a flight attendant was taken to the hospital for observation.
A passenger on UA flight 476 took a video of flight attendants talking to a woman carrying a child on the flight. The video shows a woman screaming at the flight attendants with the argument getting heated, and the woman yelling, “I will kill you.” The video was posted on TikTok.
The publisher of the video said that the woman had been yelling earlier in the flight, “Jesus Christ our savior is going to save us.” Before the plane landed, the woman got up from her seat, carrying the child, and was told to sit down by a crew member, after which the argument with the flight attendants began.
“We’re grateful to our crew for handling this difficult situation with professionalism and for putting the safety of our team and our customers first,” United Airlines said in the statement.
There were no serious injuries and the FBI was notified. An investigation is underway.
