Meghan Markle paid a tribute to Prince Harry’s mother on Tuesday as they stepped out for the 2022 Robert Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope Gala by wearing a stunning ring from the late Princess Diana’s jewelry collection.

The 41-year-old wore a custom-made white gown by Louis Vuitton featuring a thigh-high slit and a beautiful off-shoulder neckline. But as beautiful as her dress was, there was one thing that attendees couldn’t stop staring at – a gorgeous, large, emerald-cut aquamarine ring that once belonged to Meghan’s late mother-in-law.

It’s not the first time the Duchess has donned the ring, commissioned by Princess Diana in the late 1990s, and made by Asprey, a British jewelry brand. The emerald-cut ring has an estimated worth of $90,000.

Meghan wore the ring was in 2018, during her wedding reception at the couple’s Frogmore cottage. The second time the public caught a glimpse of the stunning rock was during the couple’s royal tour in Tonga in October of the same year.

The late Princess Diana first rocked the ring in 1996. She wore it during a trip to Australia. The princess was pictured wearing the ring again in 1997 during a private viewing and charity event at Christie’s for the Aid Crisis Trust.

Prince Harry has gifted Meghan other jewelry from his mother’s collection. The prince used two diamonds that once belonged to his mother to make Meghan’s engagement ring. He paired the two diamonds with a larger diamond from Botswana, which had sentimental value to them since they had spent time in the African country during their time dating.

While speaking about the design process behind the engagement ring, Harry explained that he had personally chosen every element of the design to suit Meghan’s taste. Meghan said the ring was special because of its links to Harry’s mother and Botswana.

Meghan was also previously spotted wearing a gold Cartier watch owned by Princess Diana, worth $23,000.

Meghan and Harry were attending the Ripple of Hope Gala, whose tickets went for $1 million each. They were there to accept an award for their human rights efforts and work through their organization, the Archewell Foundation.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are former recipients of the prestigious human rights award.

Meghan was admired in an elegant white gown, which left her shoulders bare, as she gracefully walked the red carpet. She had her hair slicked back into a low bun and matched her outfit with long earrings and a black clutch bag.

The couple’s highly anticipated Netflix documentary, Harry and Meghan, streamed on December 8. Buckingham Palace is waiting with bated breath for the royal secrets the couple will reveal, and people around the world will be eagerly watching the first three episodes of the documentary.

The documentary is about the love relationship between Harry and Meghan, Meghan’s experience with the royal family, and what led up to the couple’s exit.

The first episode lives up to the promise to show never before seen pictures of their life and share their love story with the world. The episode focuses on their relationship before it became public and their subsequent engagement and wedding.
