On Sunday, November 20, 22 shoplifters invaded a Whitehaven, Tennessee Walmart and walked away with anything their hands could carry.
Surveillance footage of the break-in, released by the Memphis Police Department, shows a group of people pulling into the Whitehaven Elvis Presley Boulevard Walmart packing lot at around 8:50 pm.
The robbers were armed and threw a tire iron through the store’s glass window to enter the store.
The video, which was released November 22, shows the 22 looters entering the store and leaving with two black panther scooters, several speakers, two flat-screen TVs, car batteries, and vacuum cleaners.
The store was closed at the time and no customers or staff were on site.
Police said the stolen merchandise was worth about $7,700.
Even though the store alarm was set off, the suspects escaped from the store before 12 police officers arrived. The looters left via the broken window they had entered the store through.
According to the police, another surveillance footage showed the criminals arriving at the Walmart in more than 20 cars, in what appeared to be a well-planned heist.
Investigators from the Memphis Police Department are investigating the theft. No arrests have been announced.
