MTV Presenting 2022 Video Music Awards

The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards nominations have been announced.

Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Nas X are at the top. Doja Cat and Harry Styles aren’t far behind. 

The 2022 VMAs will be broadcast live on Sunday, August 28 at 8 pm ET.

The MTV VMAs 2022 celebrates the best music videos of 2022 and features the best performances, tributes and appearances from the biggest stars in the music industry.

Three rappers are at the top with a total of seven nods. Both Lil Nas X and Harlow are nominated together with their big hit “Industry Baby” in five different categories. Lamar has been nominated in Best Cinematography for two of his music videos: “Family Ties” and “N95.”  Doja Cat and Harry Styles tie for the second-most nominations with six each. Several VMA veterans — Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd — follow with highlights in five categories.

Ed Sheeran — “Shivers”

Lil Nas X, Jack Harlow — “Industry Baby”

SONG OF THE YEAR:

Adele — “Easy On Me”

Elton John & Dua Lipa — “Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)”

Lizzo — “About Damn Time”

The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber

Several other gender-neutral categories will be presented, including Best New Artist.
